    DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01 – LA PAZ / ZONGO PASS

From La Paz, we travel approximately 2 hours to Zongo Pass (4,750 m / 15,580 ft), located at the base of the snow-capped Huayna Potosí.
Accommodation is in an alpine mountain hut.
The day includes around 3 hours of ice climbing training on a nearby glacier, just a 40-minute walk from the pass.

DAY 02 – ASCENT TO HIGH CAMP

We ascend for about 2 hours, crossing a boulder field to reach the base of the glacier at High Camp (5,200 m / 17,060 ft).
Accommodation is in an alpine mountain hut.
Porters will assist with extra luggage.
The afternoon is reserved for rest and hydration.

DAY 03 – SUMMIT DAY / RETURN TO LA PAZ

We depart before dawn for the summit attempt, with an ascent of approximately 5 hours.
After climbing an increasingly steep slope for about 2 hours, we reach the summit ridge after safely crossing a short, moderate snow slope. Large crevasses surround the ridge.
The final 180 meters involve mixed terrain of rock, ice, and snow on a 40° incline.
From the summit, we enjoy breathtaking views of the entire Cordillera Real.
The descent back to Zongo Pass takes around 5 hours, followed by return to La Paz the same day.
