DETAILED ITINERARY ACONCAGUA 360 ROUTE:

The Aconcagua Route 360° is a unique expedition that circles all sides of the highest mountain in the Americas, offering unmatched panoramic views and a complete high-altitude mountaineering experience. This route is designed for climbers seeking a more comprehensive challenge than the Normal Route, featuring strategically placed camps that allow for progressive acclimatization and a safe ascent.

This route can be combined with other classic high-altitude expeditions in the region, such as the Normal Route to Aconcagua, the Ojos del Salado expedition, and the San Francisco Volcano ascent, for those seeking a complete mountaineering program in the Andes.

DAY 01 – MENDOZA

Arrival, airport transfer, equipment check and expedition briefing.
Overnight: Hotel (double/triple)

DAY 02 – MENDOZA / PENITENTES

Climbing permit application and private transfer to Penitentes.
Overnight: Mountain Refuge (shared)

DAY 03 – PENITENTES / PAMPA DE LEÑAS

Transfer to park entrance and trek (4–5 hours) to Pampa de Leñas.
Overnight: Shared tents

DAY 04 – PAMPA DE LEÑAS / CASA DE PIEDRA

Trek (6–7 hours) with views of the Polish Glacier.
Overnight: Shared tents

DAY 05 – CASA DE PIEDRA / PLAZA ARGENTINA BASE CAMP

Long trek (7–8 hours), river crossing and ascent of the Relincho slope.
Overnight: Shared tents

DAY 06 – PLAZA ARGENTINA BASE CAMP

Rest and acclimatization day, medical check, gear review and load preparation.

DAY 07 – PLAZA ARGENTINA / CAMP 1 / PLAZA ARGENTINA

Carry loads to Camp 1 (16,240 ft) and return to base camp (6–7 hours round trip).

DAY 08 – PLAZA ARGENTINA BASE CAMP

Rest and acclimatization day.

DAY 09 – PLAZA ARGENTINA / CAMP 1

Ascent (4–5 hours), camp setup and load organization.

DAY 10 – CAMP 1 / CAMP 2 (GUANACOS) / CAMP 1

Carry part of the equipment to Camp 2 and return to Camp 1.

DAY 11 – CAMP 1

Rest and acclimatization day.

DAY 12 – CAMP 1 / CAMP 3 (GUANACOS)

Ascent via the Ameghino Traverse, load division and rest.

DAY 13 – CAMP 3 / SUMMIT / CAMP 3

Summit attempt with approximately 8 hours of ascent, return to Camp 3.

DAY 14 – CAMP 3 / PLAZA DE MULAS

Descent (≈5 hours) to Plaza de Mulas, arrival at the west-side base camp and celebration dinner.

DAY 15 – PLAZA DE MULAS / HORCONES / MENDOZA

Trek (6–7 hours) to Horcones, transfer to Mendoza.
